International Secondary School in Singapore
Invictus International School offers a rigorous and internationally-recognised secondary school curriculum at our Centrium Square campus. Students receive a holistic education delivered by our skilled educators as they are equipped with subject knowledge, personal traits and international perspectives that set them up for success as they mature into young adults in our evolving world.
Here at Invictus, we recognise that all students learn at a different pace, with different styles and different needs. We believe children should be challenged in a learning environment which is joyful and irresistible. They should learn respect and equality, understand the importance of caring for others and their environment by example and through authentic learning experiences, and they should become entrepreneurs of their own future, with the skills to adapt to a rapidly and exponentially changing world.
For Years 7 to 9, we offer the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum. The world-class Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum is based on international best practices for schools and is dedicated to developing learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Each curriculum framework is designed to engage learners in an active and creative learning journey.
Invictus believes in a balanced secondary school education that establishes a solid foundation for all students in literacy and numeracy while allowing students to explore specialist areas dependent on their interests, strengths, ability, and college aspirations. To achieve this, our secondary school follows the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum which helps to ensure we maintain a good standard of our student's academic development and aspirations.
Students in Years 10 and 11 prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams, a key qualification that prepares students for the Cambridge International A-Levels (Advanced Level) for entrance to university and post-secondary education. Students can choose from a variety of science, language and humanities subjects and receive internationally-recognised grades.
The school year is from August to June with a maximum student-to-teacher ratio of 25:1.
Assessments by Invictus International School include written and project work assessments, observation skills, formal knowledge tests, and effort assessments against a matrix set by the school.
There are also two parent-teacher conferences per year to discuss targets and progress. Written reports are issued in the middle of the year and at the end of the year.
